My VCR has decided to give up the ghost, sad to say. Yes, right after spending money on a new tv, my vcr mocks me by deciding to go plooey.

Ergh.

I'm torn because it seems sort of pointless to get a new one, when they're being phased out and DVD's are here to stay, you know? But I have so many things on tape! It would take a lot of money to get them all on dvd, unfortunately. So I guess the answer is to go get a new vcr, but darn it, I don't want to.

I'm being stubborn with myself, I know.
